Cultivating CURIOSITY, EMPATHY, CREATIVITY, and COMMUNITY through PLAY is at the heart of The Inc.'s Playschool philosophy.
With 90% of a child’s critical brain development occurring by the age of five, The Inc. Playschool is not a drop off point or a holding tank, it is a nest for our youngest coworkers to grow their hearts and minds through play. Through responsive caregiving and reflective teaching, our commitment is to foster a community of learners to be the critical thinkers and collaborative partners of tomorrow.
Overview of The Inc. playschool rooms
Grounded with a dedicated teacher and consistent routine, supporting children’s social, emotional and cognitive development is central to the Preschooler Room for children 2.5-5 years old. This room offers a variety of learning centers for children’s hands-on exploration and plenty of opportunities for creative expression. The preschooler room is led by Teacher Alex who thoughtfully prepares the environment and activities and introduces monthly themes to spark curiosity. Using an emergent curriculum approach, she responds to the unique interests and individual abilities of the children in her care to tailor the curriculum and guide her interactions, week-by-week, day-to-day and minute-to-minute.
Children do not have to be potty-trained however we ask that parents remain onsite if their child(ren) needs help with diapers or the bathroom. For potty-trained children who are 2.5 years old and older, parents aren't required to stay onsite but must be prompt at pickup. Parents must pack a lunch and water bottle for their child and label their lunch containers. Please let The Inc. team know if your child has any food allergies.
