What makes The Inc. different from other coworking spaces, drop-in care facilities or preschools in the area?

The Inc. combines an office space + care for young children all in one place. No more struggling to drive from home, school, and office 2x a day left feeling like you just can’t get anything accomplished. Get quality child care for when you need it without committing to a traditional preschool calendar year. Check out our Summer 2023 Schedule!

Who can become a member of The Inc.?

We welcome any parent or caregiver who needs quality, flexible childcare for children 5 and under into our space. Any parent who has a flexible schedule, (entrepreneur, business owner, remote worker, freelancer, student, or Household CEO), and needs focused time to work, study or complete a project while their child is engaged nearby is a perfect Inc. member!* We are an inclusive community and do not discriminate against anyone based upon race, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, or ability.

*Please note that at this time our coworking space is intended for parents to use only while their children are on site.

How does the Playschool work?

Our preschool program follows a license-exempt preschool model. We provide care for 2.5 - 5 year olds in three or four hour booking slots for up to eight children.

Our toddler room follows a drop-in model that is used by gyms, churches and grocery stores across WA state. We provide care for early walkers to 2.5 year-olds in two, three, and four hour booking slots for up to five children.

Does my child have to be potty-trained?

No! We accept children who are not potty-trained however parents must remain on-site and will be notified to handle their child’s diaper/potty needs. Once a child is 2.5 years old and potty-trained, on occasion a parent may leave The Inc. for client meetings, errands, etc., but must return promptly for pickup. Please see additional information below.

Do I need to pack snacks/lunch for my child?

Yes! The preschool room has snack and lunch breaks and the toddler room has snack time as well. If your child has a food allergy, please let staff know and they will do their best to accommodate your child.

What is your sick policy?

As a general policy, The Inc. follows the King County guidelines for childhood illness. We make every effort to keep illnesses at a minimum, so if you suspect your child is sick, please keep him/her at home. If your child becomes ill while at The Inc., we will ask that you take them home immediately. Your child needs to be 24 hours without taking medication for a fever, diarrhea or vomiting before returning to preschool.  Masks are welcome, but not required, while using our space.

Can I leave The Inc. to go to client meetings or run errands?

Because we are a family-oriented community workspace, we strongly encourage parents and/or caregivers to remain on-site. We know our model is a bit different than most half-day preschools, and understand that it may not work for all families. If your child is over 2.5 years old AND fully potty-trained there are instances in which we can accommodate parents going off-site, but generally request that you remain in our coworking area.

Is there an area where I can take phone calls and video conferences?

MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON!

Do you have parking?

For Summer 2023, paid and 2-hour street parking are available around our Queen Anne location. We are also easily accessible by public transportation.

How do I connect with other Inc. members?

We love seeing our families connect! We encourage families to get to know each other as our model thrives when our community is willing to support and cheer on one another. The Inc. has a FB group “The Inc.’s GSD Club” if members prefer connecting there. We do our best to create opportunities inside and outside the space for members to connect and build a sense of community. What our website and social media pages for information on upcoming community events and opportunities!
